Looking for a cruising boat with the best features of a motorsailer? Check out this Cheoy Lee 53.
The Cheoy Lee 53 Motorsailor's  internal volume is impressive.  Twin Ford Lehman diesel and over 1,000 gallons of fuel capacity make her a true global passagemaker.  Her bow thruster makes her a pleasure to operate in close quarters and her ICW friendly rig makes her an ideal choice for liveaboards choosing the inside route.  HAPPY HEART has been lovingly looked after by her owners who have recently had the boat painted with Awlgrip from bottom paint to cabin top and she absolutely gleams.  She has many custom features such as her hardtop with full enclosure, a feature that truly adds an additional "raised salon" to her already commodious living quarters.  HAPPY HEART has recently returned from a Caribbean cruise and is ready for her next adventure.  If you are looking for a no-nonsense cruising boat that embodies the best features of a motorsailer then you owe it to yourself to get aboard HAPPY HEART.  Shown by appointment.

Vessel Overview:

The Cheoy Lee 53 motorsailer offers superior sailing and motoring characteristics but incorporates the salient features of a power yacht like twin diesel power and a flybridge with an all-weather pilothouse as well. A spacious flybridge with helm seat and a comfortable and secure settee aft are pleasant features to have on a motor sailer. The pilothouse provides a second helm for all weather cruising with a good field of vision, as well as space for extensive electronics and chart stowage. The main salon is spacious and elegant, with an L-shaped settee and table to starboard and an entertainment center to port. The galley was designed for cooking under sail with two sizeable ice-boxes, electric stove and oven. The aft stateroom has a queen-sized berth on a pedestal, a large hanging locker, vanity and a private head compartment with stall shower. Forward of the main salon are two guest staterooms to starboard and in the bow, each with upper/lower berths and hanging lockers. A guest head is to port with an enclosed stall shower. Power is provided by twin diesel engines. She cruises comfortably around 8.5 knots under power. At this speed the range in approximately 1,000 miles under power alone. The 53's good sailing characteristics vastly extend this range. On deck, the combination of self-tailing winches, self stowing mast and electric jib furling make sail handling simple. The sailing capabilities are enhanced by a full keel underbody and a large sail area.  The added stability provided by the sails when underway attenuates roll and is a superior arrangement to stabilizers at almost any speed.

Accomodations:

HAPPY HEART sleeps 6 guests in 3 private staterooms. The full width centerline master cabin is located aft with en suite head and separate shower.  Spacious and light raised salon windows, plus full interior helm station/pilothouse.
