Vessel Overview:
The X-412 was X-Yachts’ first model in the new “Performance Cruiser” range where the influence of IOR had completely disappeared as IMS became the dominant international handicap rule. The X-412 became another trendsetter and remained in production for more than 10 years. With 252 built the design was a proven success with cruisers and racers alike. Expeditious is a well-loved 2 head 2 cabin version that is a proven veteran of Caribbean cruising. Like all X-Yachts, Expeditious is a thrill to sail. Having only 1,606 on her Yanmar diesel and having cruised the Caribbean is a testament to the design's prowess in all wind conditions. She has been set up for ocean cruising and is an ideal choice if performance cruising is your goal. Expeditious is currently on the hard with fresh bottom paint and is ready for her next adventure. Hull & Deck:
The X-412's hull, as well as deck, are in hand laid E glass reinforced on special high stress areas with Triaxial fiberglass in connection with a sandwich laminate using hard compressed Divinycell foam as core material. Solid laminated around the keel reinforcement girder system, the engine install, the propeller, the rudder bearings as well as all through hull fittings. Hull surface outside is dark blue gel coat with three white stripes.
Hull and deck are glued together with a special polyester resin and are bolted together on 4" centers.
