Originally built for a couple who planned a circumnavigation and high latitudes cruising MAKARA was built without regard to budget. According to her builder, she is the "best equipped and designed 470 ever produced". She has seen very light use (550 Engine Hours) in the brackish waters of the Chesapeake Bay and it shows. MAKARA lacks the normal scuffs and scratches one would expect to find on a boat of her vintage as well as the custom touches owners put on their vessels. Her current owners are only her second and she is as close to new as you will ever find. Highly Recommended.
