The Grand Banks Eastbay 47 is a C. Raymond Hunt & Associates design that has helped define the modern down east cruiser. Her graceful sheer and moderate bow flare are reminiscent of Maine built lobster boats while her deep dead rise hull with computer designed lifting strakes are at the forefront of modern underbody design. Power comes from twin Cummins Qsm11’s which provide smooth, reliable power, and she is the only 47 built with that power plant option. Water Music was constructed as the Grand Banks dealer demonstration vessel and being the flagship of the line was built with utmost care. The interior accommodations are well thought out and provide a bright and airy ambiance. The large barrel back chairs were reupholstered in ultra leather to match the settee to port and give a feeling of continuity to the interior. Water Music has many well appointed custom touches that exemplify the good taste of her only owners. Her galley is large enough to impress the finest gourmet chef and its location below the wind screen allows the chef to be included in conversations in the main salon. The Eastbay 47 Flybridge is considered by some to be the ultimate down east cruiser. She is modern, fast,dry and finished as only a Grand Banks could be.
