Accomodations:

"Elegance with a purpose." This seems to encompass exactly what the Beneateau 473 brings to her owners. Her interior is an amazing combination of volume and light with a headroom of 6' 8". The panoramic deck lights flood the interior with natural light. Her cherry-stained hardwood, plush upholstery settees and ample storage make it a delight to entertain guests in the salon. SIDERNO is the preferred 2-cabin/2-head owners version of the Beneteau 473. Aft of the galley is a walk-in locker that may be used for a pantry, workshop and storage.

Cockpit:

The cockpit is extremely large with easy movement. There are 2 long settees port and starboard, and an opening cherry wood table in the center. The table can be opened to one side only, or both sides. Aft, are twin steering helms with duplicate electronics at each helm. A sugar scoop transom is aft with comfortable swim platform. There are large storage lacerates to port and starboard, as well as storage in the swim platform. A Hot/Cold shower is aft. There is a separate propane storage locker w/2 tanks. Dual 30 AMP receptacles for shore power are aft.

The Cockpit has a full custom bimini top and dodger system. Behind the cockpit is a custom stainless arch that serves to mount antennas and a robust davits system.

Tankage:

The single fuel tank on a standard 473 is @ 60 gallons. The owner had the Beneteau factory in Marion SC replace one of the water tanks with a fuel tank to increase the vessel's overall fuel capacity for added range under power. Her current water capacity is 162 gallons and a water maker is used to replenish water stores when offshore.

Engine & Mechanical:

There is excellent access to the engine room through lifting the companionway stairs or from two side access panels in the guest staterooms. There is also access to the steering quadrant from the cockpit lazarette.

SIDERNO has a very clean and professionally maintained 4-cylinder 76hp Yanmar auxillary diesel. It drives a ZF gear and the prop exits the boat via a dripless style gland.

The original owner optioned up this higher horesepower Yanmar Diesel which as the current owners will attest is nice to have "in the bank"!
