- Many of the systems aboard, Kodiak have been upgraded and optimized for long-term cruising she has a 900 amp power lead acid battery bank (6V Golf Cart Batteries) much of her 12 V wiring has been upgraded and redesigned by Bob Campbell in Annapolis, Maryland
- She has a 300 amp alternator on her starboard motor, running on dual belts with a 70 amp spare a selector switch allows the user to select between alternators for redundancy offshore.
- The port motor has a 70 amp alternator, which charges the start bank only
- Fuel tanks are clean and corrosion free thanks to the fact that the decks were removed long before they started leaking. There is a fuel management system with dual Racors and lift pumps with vacuum gauges for both the port and starboard engines along with a dedicated Racor for the Gen Set
- The marine gears were replaced with twin disc marine transmissions on a 2.39 to one gear ratio. The shafts were replaced at the same time along with cutlass bearings and packing. The shafts run absolutely true with no vibration whatsoever when running at any RPM.
- Engine hoses have been replaced along with heat exchanger service and annual oil changes.
- Exhaust hoses have been changed and mufflers have been upgraded to Centec fiberglass on both port, starboard and generator
- A fuel manifold system allows selection between port and starboard tanks for both engines and generator a job go oil change pump is fitted to the vessel to make changing oil and neat and tidy
- A splendide vented washer dryer has been installed in the engine room and is accessed through the hinged stairway in the forward cabin dryer vents overboard through main engine blower system
- A Glendenning engine synchronization system is installed
- A Raritan 12 gallon hot water tank with a new element and electrode 2022
- Refrigeration and freezer system is 110 V hold over plate that can run off the generator and or the main engines at cruising RPM
- In tropical climates, an hour of run time in the morning and an hour in the evening is all that’s required to keep sub freezing temperatures in the freezer
- All sea cocks have been serviced and are easily turned by hand (except for holding tank discharge)
- Electro scan Raritan sanitation system is employed with both heads as well as a holding tank, unused
- A dedicated engine start battery and dedicated generator. Battery are located outboard of the main house battery bank.
- Steering cables were replaced in 2020 along with the manual bilge pump
- Engine room has 110 V LED lighting along with LED 12 V lighting
- A Sure Fow aqua king 4 gallon per minute freshwater pump runs a domestic water with two accumulators run in series to prevent pressure drops. A spare pump is a board.
- The washdown pump for the anchor is also a sure flow pump matching the domestic water supply pump, providing a third backup in the event of water pump failure
- The boat is plumbed for a water maker with intake and brian discharge installed, but a water maker is not included in the inventory
